    Founder / Head Basketball Trainer

    Dwane is the owner and founder of Sport Proformance. He didn’t learn basketball until high school. Through his own dedication, hard work, and persistence he went from barely making the team to being a starter for his high school’s varsity team. Dwane went on to play that the collegiate level and ultimately professionally. Dwane played for five years with the world-famous Washington Generals / Harlem Globetrotters. This experience allowed Dwane the opportunity to travel the world and experience different cultures and life experiences. In addition to being the owner of Sport Proformance, Dwane can be found playing on local basketball courts all throughout the DC Metropolitan area and coaching at the high school level in Washington, D.C.

  • Kevin Forde Basketball Trainer Washington DC

    KEVIN FORDE

    Basketball Trainer

    Kevin is a DMV native who grew up in Silver Spring, MD, and attended Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. Kevin attended Salisbury University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Minor in Athletic Coaching. He is currently the Assistant Athletics Director at the Edmund Burke School in Washington, DC, and has years of coaching experience including 6 as the head Middle School Basketball coach at Burke. Kevin also has experience coaching soccer and Track and Field.

  • Noah Hughes-Dunn Basketball Trainer Northern Virginia Yoga Mindfullness

    NOAH HUGHES-DUNN

    Basketball Trainer / Yoga + Mindfulness Instructor

    Noah fell in love with basketball when he was 5 years old. Originally from Takoma Park, MD, he attended Edmund Burke School in Washington, DC, where he played 3 years of varsity basketball, captaining the team and earning all-conference honors his junior and senior seasons. His natural feel for the game and attention to detail has allowed him to help middle and high school players max out their potential for the last 13 years. His specialties include shooting, dribbling, passing, post moves, and all-around fundamentals. He is also a certified yoga, meditation, and mindfulness instructor. His training style blends these complimentary passions to help athletes of all ages build strength, balance, and flexibility while reducing their risk of injury and enhancing focus and rhythm on the court to achieve optimal performance.

  • Henry Martinez Basketball Coach Montgomery County Maryland

    HENRY MARTINEZ

    Basketball Trainer

    During Martinez’s time at Woodrow Wilson High School, he was a Varsity Level Three (3 years) Sports Athlete. He earned honors in each sport Basketball, Baseball, and Football. Through hard work and dedication, he was fortunate to earn a full-ride Division 2 scholarship at Bowie State University in Football. After attending Bowie State University for two years he decided to transfer to Southern University A&M College where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources. After graduating from Southern University, A&M College he decided to pursue a career in coaching. For the last 4 years, Martinez has been an Assistant Coach on the Varsity/JV Basketball team and Head Coach for the Freshman Basketball team at Wilson High School. During his tenure as a Basketball Coach, Martinez has been fortunate to win 1 State Championship and 3 City Championships. He is also an Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach and Head JV Baseball Coach at Wilson High School. As a Baseball Coach, he has also won 1 State Championship and 2 City Championships. In the short period as a Coach, Martinez has been fortunate to coach and train a plethora of Division 1, 2, and 3 athletes. He has been a part of two successful programs and has hopes to continue to share his knowledge, passion, and love for up and coming athletes in the DMV area.

  • Prince Niagara Basketball Instructor NW DC

    PRINCE NIAGARA

    Basketball Trainer

    In high school, Prince was always drawn to coaching and training others in basketball and fitness. During this time he worked with around 20 kids his age or younger who came to him for guidance. Officially, Prince has been coaching for 3 years and has worked with Niagara Studio, PPA, Headfirst, and several former professional/collegiate players. Over the past 3 years, he has been blessed to have worked with over 200 kids and counting. This year he was supposed to step on as an assistant coach with Team Takeover (AAUs top team of all time) but this has been postponed due to the pandemic. He has worked with a wide range of athletes from all levels including young beginners to D1 athletes.

  • Freddy Obame Kids Basketball Coach Washington DC

    FREDDY OBAME

    Basketball Trainer

    Freddy is originally from Gabon, Africa. He is a 6’6”, 240 lbs former professional basketball player who played in NCAA 1 at UMES (University of Maryland Eastern Shore). After college he played in several countries in Africa including Cameroun, Nigeria, Tchad, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, and Equatorial Guinea. Freddy has played in Europe (Serbia, France, Turkey) and in the Middle East (Qatar, Saudi Arabia). He also played for his country’s National Team which explained all the countries he has been to in Africa. Freddy has been coaching in the DMV for a few years. He has a lot of knowledge in basketball to share with younger kids and enjoy teaching and coaching the sport.
